FAQs

We at NPHacks like to believe that a hack-a-thon is very much like an invent-a-thon where like-minded individuals with various backgrounds and skill sets come together for a weekend to β€œinvent” something from the ground up. The only thing limiting what you build is your creativity β€” we’ll provide the rest.
Any high school student can attend! Please note that all attendees are responsible for their own transportation to NPHacks!
NPHacks is completely free thanks to our sponsors!
You can build whatever you dream of, whether that be a website with an amazing feature, a phone app, or a prototype! Our only rule is that all code and prototypes must be written and made during the hackathon itself. Feel free to use open-source libraries and APIs; companies attending may provide their own as well. Impress us!
Please bring a valid ID card for admission, a laptop, a charger, and a positive attitude! Additional recommended items are: a refillable water bottle, earphones, any desired peripherals, and some scratch paper for brainstorming. We will provide everything else!
NPHacks 2025 is a one-day in-person event! When applying, please make sure you will be available all day on Saturday, February 22nd, 2025.
Applications will be announced at a later date.
Applications will be announced at a later date.
You will apply as an individual. We will be personally reviewing each application and accepting on an individual basis.
You will be able to note down your desired teammates in your application. There can be up to a maximum of 4 hackers on a team. If you are a solo hacker but want to be in a team, please mention so on your application so we can put you in a team.
Students of all skill levels are encouraged to attend, even if you've never programmed before. NPHacks is beginner-friendly and we will host various workshops throughout the day that can help you get started.
You will be building projects from scratch. You are encouraged to brainstorm ideas of what you want to build; however, participants who begin creating projects before the hacking period begins will be immediately disqualified from the competition.
Please email us at team@nphack.club if you have any additional questions! We look forward to hearing from you.
